Role overview
We are currently looking for a Chief Operations Officer who will effectively operate as the “number two” in the company. This is an interim role (maternity cover). The duration of the contract is flexible and may be extended for an indefinite period.
You will be joining the team in a time of unprecedented changes that include:
Crossing the threshold of 100 employees within the next year;
Releasing 15 language versions of our website;
Switching from being a one-product company (only the Omni Calculator website) to a multi-product company;
Diversifying with new business models (SaaS, freemium, or other) on top of our current ad-based model.
Responsibilities
Overseeing the day-to-day company operations to ensure we reach our goals while not compromising our company culture and mission. This includes anticipating problems bound to arise in a scaling organization and addressing them as needed.
Leading the management team, from honing the development of their skills to reviewing their performance and ensuring maximum engagement.
Co-creating the strategy with the company CEO and translating it into actions, such as quarterly plans together with the department managers.
Coordinating the company’s organizational growth, including building new departments and owning key recruitment processes.
Required qualifications
You have substantial experience in a relevant C-level role in an organization employing 50-200 people, especially in times of scaling and growth.
You have substantial experience working for a digital product-based company in an agile environment. Experience in creating SaaS products will be an added advantage.
You have a degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration. MBA is not required but will be an advantage.
Project management skills: you know well how to organize the work of your team to deliver the results reliably.
Delivery-driven approach: you are focused on delivering results and implementing solutions.
Leadership skills: you can build a team and, organize its work, motivate and mentor your team members.
Communication skills: you are great at communicating clearly and effectively and are able to build positive relationships with your coworkers.
You’re located in Europe, or are willing to relocate for this position.
You have an excellent command of the English language (at least C1 level, both speaking and writing).

Recruitment process
An introduction call with the recruiter where you will learn more about the position (30-40 mins).
An hour-long call with the Head of HR to talk about your previous experience and check your cultural fit.
A two-hour-long meeting with the CEO and the current COO, where you will be working on a strategic-level case study.
Optionally, at the very end, we may ask you for a reference from one of your former supervisors.

How long do we process your data?
Most of our advertisements concern positions for which we are constantly recruiting. The selection of a given candidate does not close the recruitment process. In these cases, we process your personal data for the time necessary to select the best candidate, but no longer than 12 months from receiving your application.
